Better Conditions for Eneo Workers
A new collective bargaining agreement signed and the ceremony to award labour medals of honour resumed.
Negotiated for two years, the new agreement was signed by staff representatives, top management and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security on 27 October, 2022 in Douala. The main objective is to improve on corporate performance and customer satisfaction.
The new agreement undeniably breaks new ground, through the inclusion of a new system for classification of jobs as well as remuneration, increase of some bonuses and allowances, and reduction of salary gaps among other things.
Similarly, 10 years after the last edition, ceremonies to award labour medals of honour were organised across the country to honour 500 workers.
The next edition has been scheduled for 2023. Whether or not it will take place largely depends on the company’s available financial resources.
