Serge Esso (GlencoeAdvisory), Special Adviser to the General Manager of Eneo Cameroon

Eneo Cameroon S.A. announces that Mr. Serge Esso is from this day on, the Special Adviser to the General Manager. To this end, he is expected to represent the company before the Government and other key stakeholders, within the framework of Institutional Relations and Strategic Affairs.

This approach is in line with the company's efforts to strengthen proximity with the Government and its key stakeholders; and the desire to fully play its role as a driving force in the electricity sector, alongside other players in the energy chain, in order to meet the many challenges facing the company and the sector.

Mr. Serge Esso’s role in part of an agreement between his firm, GlencoeAdvisory, and Actis, majority shareholder of Eneo Cameroon.

Serge Esso holds a DESS in International Trade Law and a Masters in International Business Law (Paris1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). He brings more than 20 years of experience in several leading multinationals where he held senior positions (Director, Deputy General Manager ...). His specialties include high-level negotiation, advice and support to international companies and investors, compliance and good corporate governance.

Serge Esso notably worked for the Bolloré group, Shell, Price Water House Coopers audit firm, AES-SONEL, MTN Cameroon before setting up GlencoeAdvisory in July 2018. This firm specializes in supporting multinationals and investors. As special adviser to the General Manager of Eneo Cameroon, Serge Esso is returning to the electricity sector where he spent a little more than 6 years between 2007 and 2013. At the time, he served at AES-SONEL as Sub-Director of legal affairs. During this period, he made valuable contributions to the conclusion of some strategic investments, such as the construction of the Dibamba and Kribi power plants.
