Our Responsibility: Raising Awareness to Protect the Future

Eneo Cameroon announces that within the framework of its SYWES (Special Youth Week Safety) programme,

all its employees are committed to visit schools from 02 to 09 February 2019 in order to share with the children tips on how to avoid electric accidents as they go about their daily activities.

“As an electricity company, our responsibility is also to inculcate a culture of electricity safety into our communities. We have decided to focus our attention specifically on the youth as it is an age group that runs electricity risks and can easily share the lessons learnt in their environment.”, Said Mary Ntantang, Eneo Deputy Director for Safety and Environment.

Launched in 2016, the Eneo SYWES campaigns have had an impact on respectively 225000 children in 2016, 290000 in 2017, 337000 in 2018, thereby significantly increasing the number of people who have been directly sensitized on the dangers of electricity by our company, with an average of 800 000 per year.
