Enhancing Power Supply Safety in Yaoundé and the South
Within the framework of reinforcing its network, Eneo Cameroon informs its customers that this Sunday, 30th April, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., it will carry out some significant work on the major facilities serving the south of the city of Yaoundé and the localities of Mbalmayo and the South region.
These zones will witness power supply outage or disruption.
Measures have been taken to ensure the service continuity at some sensitive sites in Mbalmayo and Ebolowa, notably the CAMWATER EKOMBITIE water production plant.
The work will take place at the OYOMABANG and AHALA transformer substations, as along the OYOMABANG-AHALA 2-NSIMALEN-MBALMAYO transmission line corridors. The work involves the preventive maintenance of equipment in order to enhance their functioning and to mitigate the risks of occurrence of serious incidents in the future.
Eneo advises all customers concerned to use other sources of energy, if necessary, and,
- to unplug all sensitive appliances and
- to reconnect only at least 15 minutes after the effective restoration of power.
