Eneo donates new equipment to the General Hospitals of Douala and Yaounde

Douala, 03 September 2021 – As part of the partnership agreement with the Douala General Hospital and the implementation of its corporate social responsibility policy, Eneo Cameroon S.A. has made a another donation to support the prevention and treatment of medical and surgical emergencies that threaten our population on a daily basis.

Eneo Cameroon S.A. and the Douala General Hospital signed a long-term partnership agreement on 29 October 2020 with a view to providing better quality health services to the population. As part of the implementation of this agreement and in accordance with its Corporate Social Responsibility approach, Eneo has donated medicines, medical and surgical lingerie to the General Hospitals of Douala and Yaounde in a bid to support the prevention and management of medical and surgical emergencies that threaten our population on a daily basis.

In agreement with the Directors of these two reference hospitals, the General Manager of Eneo will hand over these medicines and medical lingerie on September 3 in Douala and September 8, 2021 in Yaounde at the respective sites of these health establishments. The objective of this donation is to strengthen the care of patients in these hospitals, especially in the reanimation and burns care units.

As a responsible company at the service of Cameroonians and all others living in Cameroon, Eneo is a strategic partner of the Government of Cameroon. This donation reinforces the company’s presence alongside our reference hospitals in Douala and Yaounde in all their missions.

As a reminder, this donation is a continuation of a process initiated by Eneo in 2020. In October 2020, the company offered a donation to the Cameroon Government worth CFAF 175 million. The General Hospitals of Douala and Yaounde benefited from the largest share of this donation with advanced technology equipment (pulse oximeter, resuscitation and intensive care respirators, multi-parameter monitors, etc.)

It should be noted that the Douala General Hospital is the only centre specialising in the treatment of burn victims in the Central African sub-region. Supporting this centre means supporting not only Cameroon but also Central Africa.
