Supporting the economic transformation of the Sanaga and Ocean : Eneo Cameroon is inaugurating the building housing its Sanaga-Ocean regional head office

Eneo Cameroon is inaugurating on this day at Kribi in the locality of Bogandoue its Sanaga Ocean (SANO) regional head office that covers the Ocean, Sanaga Maritime and Nyong et Kelle divisions. 

Created in 2015, within the framework of the decentralization and deconcentration policy of the company, the Sanaga Ocean region has been functioning for quite a while from the premises of the former Kribi agency. Building R+1 built on an overall surface area of 4625 m², the new premies, houses both the regional head office and the Kribi commercial agency. With offices for administration, waiting rooms equipped with cable television, secured parking lots (330m²), a fence around the buildings, open spaces, an Open Space functioning mode, the new agency at Kribi and the SANO head office ensure greater security but also more comfort and conviviality to customers and thus translates one of the important aspects of the vision of Eneo Cameroon i.e. to be a governance model in Africa.

According to Nicolas Mbock, Eneo Cameroon Regional Director for the Sanaga-Ocean, « Closer to its customers, Eneo is contributing its quota in the economic transformation of the Ocean goaded in the process by high-impact projects of the State. The regional head office building concretizes the reinforcement of the presence of the company in this coastal area that is witnessing a boom in economic activities. »

To Joël Nana Kontchou, General Manager of Eneo Cameroon, this building is a setting that aims at creating conditions for the improvement of services in the Sanaga and Ocean by revitalizing the results of this promising region with regards to its first steps. « From limited means, our teams at the young SANO region were able to increase by almost 10% the number of households and enterprises connected to the electrical network year by year since 2015 at Edea, Kribi, Eseka and environs, the quality of service has improved, which is expressed in a 5-point growth in customer satisfaction from 2016 to 2017. The supply of energy is stabilizing progressively thanks to targeted actions such as the resumption of cleaning and reinforcement of the Kribi-Akom 1 line where the number of incidents on average per month moved down from 14 to 2. It is this dynamic that must be pursued and even accelerated with the inauguration of this head office which gives the Region its full capacity. For us, it entails accompanying the movement geared towards the economic transformation of the divisions that constitute our Sanaga-Ocean region, » he declared.

Eneo is going to continue working to offer to employees and customers in its regions suitable and motivating environments. In this light, after Bepanda in Douala and Kribi , the next reference agencies to be inaugurated are those of Maroua in the Far North and Kumba in the South West, Bagangte in West and two others in Yaoundé.
The objective is to create conditions for the continuation of the improvement of service quality at the national level.

Since 2014 by executing in a safe and secure manner at least 350 000 connections in the country, Eneo has provided access to electricity in Cameroon to over 2.2 million persons of which 60% come from regions and out of Yaounde and Douala. The supply of electrical energy has stabilized, which is expressed in a 30% drop in the average outage time. A drop due to investments and a more robust and rigorously monitored maintenance programme as well as the progressive involvement of communities hard by.
