Press release of February 22nd, 2016

Eneo Cameroon S.A. wishes to inform its customers in the North, Far North and Adamaoua Regions that there has been insufficient rainfall around the catchment area of the Lagdo Hydro-powered Plant’s reservoir dam, which has negatively affected generation and the continuous supply of electricity in the Northern part of the country.

Consequently, in order to adequately manage the water available in the reservoir dam and avoid a more serious situation, Eneo Cameroon S.A is constrained to shed electricity supply from 7am to 5pm or from 6pm to 11pm depending on the localities.

Eneo Cameroon S.A, apologies to its customers for the inconveniences this situation may cause. We urge you to always switch off lights in unoccupied rooms and unplug all unused electrical appliances. This will help reduce the power cuts. Protect your appliances by plugging them at least 15mn after power is restored.

To adequately manage this period, kindly check our load shedding schedule in all Eneo agencies and on our Website at www.eneocameroon.cm, or call 8010. Also get our tips on saving energy

Far North and Adamaoua,
