Press Release: An incident at the BRGM substation in Yaounde causes disruptions in the electricity service

Around 09:14 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, a major incident occurred in the BRGM substation that powers several neighborhoods in Yaounde.

 This incident, followed by a fire, resulted in the shutdown of the entire substation, which accounts for approximately 25% of the city's power supply.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the origin of the incident.
All necessary steps are taken to minimize any inconvenience this may cause.
